When provided through a school or district, this information may be considered part of a student's education record and is handled in accordance with applicable agreements and legal requirements.

Parents, guardians, teachers, schools, or districts may choose to provide additional information, such as:

TutorWorks does not sell or rent personal information.

A. With Schools, Districts, Educators, and Parents

Student progress, learning data, reports, and related information may be shared with authorized educators, school administrators, districts, parents, or guardians as appropriate to provide services and support student learning.

B. With Service Providers

We may share information with trusted vendors and service providers who help us operate our services, such as hosting providers, cloud infrastructure providers, analytics tools, customer support systems, email providers, and AI or adaptive learning service providers.

These providers are authorized to use information only as necessary to provide services to TutorWorks and are expected to protect information appropriately.

C. With Legal or Regulatory Authorities

We may disclose information when required by law, court order, subpoena, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the integrity of our services.

D. In Business Transactions

5. Student Privacy and FERPA

When TutorWorks provides services to schools or districts, we may receive or process student information on behalf of those educational institutions.

TutorWorks uses student information only for authorized educational purposes and in accordance with applicable agreements. We do not use student education records for targeted advertising, and we do not sell student personal information.

Parents, guardians, and eligible students who wish to access, correct, or delete student education records maintained by a school or district should contact the applicable school or district directly. TutorWorks will support schools and districts in responding to such requests as required by applicable law and our agreements.

6. Children's Privacy

TutorWorks services may be used by children through school-authorized programs or with appropriate parental or guardian consent.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without required consent or school authorization. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete or otherwise address the information.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

TutorWorks may use cookies and similar technologies to:

We do not use third-party advertising trackers to sell or monetize student data.

Depending on your location and relationship with TutorWorks, you may have the right to request that we:

For student information provided through a school or district, requests may need to be directed to the applicable school or district. TutorWorks will assist schools and districts as required by applicable law and our agreements.

If you are a California resident, California law may provide additional rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know, access, correct, delete, and receive information about certain disclosures of personal information.

TutorWorks does not sell personal information. TutorWorks does not use student personal information for targeted third-party advertising.

TutorWorks will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

12. International Users

TutorWorks is based in the United States, and our services are primarily intended for users in the United States. Information may be stored and processed in the United States or in other locations where our service providers operate.

If information is processed outside the United States, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.
